Services

I currently offer three levels of service to fit a variety of needs: Consultation, Curated Sketches & Notes, or A Garden Storyboard. Whether you want to understand what’s already in your yard and how to care for it, or need a full design plan, I can guide you every step of the way. If you’re unsure which level of service is right for you, starting with a consultation is a great first step. Please email for current rates on any of the services.

Consultation:

A landscape consultation is billed at an hourly rate and typically takes one to three hours. We’ll walk through your space together, talk about your vision, and explore ideas right on the spot. Along the way, we’ll identify areas that deserve a little extra attention and highlight the features worth showing off.

We can cover anything you’d like; whether it’s filling new or existing beds, designing containers, identifying plants, planning a kitchen or herb garden, arranging outdoor rooms, refining hardscape areas, or even tackling pruning strategies. For most average-sized yards, I can create a complete layout on site in about two to three hours. If you’re planning a bigger change, like adding a patio, fence, or ADU (accessory dwelling unit), we can put together a cohesive game plan to save you time and money as your project takes shape.

By the end of our visit, you’ll have personalized notes and hand-drawn sketches with plant suggestions, material ideas, and practical tips, plus guidance on where to find everything you’ll need. Payment is collected at the time of service.

Curated Sketches & Notes:

Do you have a small area that could use a clear plan, or would you like a handy schedule or to-do list to keep your plants thriving? Refined notes and sketches can be customized to fit your budget, making this a flexible option whether you need product links, a concept summary, or detailed drawings showing potential improvements.

We can tackle anything from patio layouts and bed designs to plant lists and privacy tree placement. This approach works well for DIYers, and if you’re working with a landscape contractor or HOA, we can adapt the level of detail to meet their requirements.

The time needed can range from a couple of hours to ten, depending on the scope of the project. Together, we’ll figure out the approach that best matches your goals, budget, and comfort level, so your yard can flourish exactly the way you envision.

Garden Storyboard:

Whether it’s a front yard, backyard, or your whole property, this type of plan gives you everything you need to design, install, and care for your landscape. You can follow it step by step yourself, tackle it in stages as time and budget allow, or hand it to a contractor for a seamless installation. DIYers love the clarity it provides, and homeowners enjoy having a plan that makes the process feel doable and fun.

Our journey begins with a consultation, where we talk through all your ideas, dreams, and must-haves for the space. I measure the site and create a to-scale base map, then draft two preliminary design options. Together, we explore the possibilities, often using Pinterest boards or mood boards to capture your style, until we shape the final plan.

The finished plan is your complete guide, with plant names, quantities, sizes, and care notes, so you’ll have everything you need to bring your landscape to life. If you’d like, I can also connect you with trusted landscape contractors to make installation effortless.

Full landscape plans are usually scheduled about three to six months in advance, and once your project is on the calendar, the design process typically takes one to two months. Payments are split into three easy installments, keeping things simple and manageable.
